There has never been a more exciting time to join us. Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust (T&G IC) will provide the foundation for one of the first ICOs in England, bringing together a wide range of health and social care services for the benefit of local people. The ICO will manage a person’s entire care in the future, by linking up hospital services with community care and mental health services as well as working closely with GPs.

We expect that, to fully transform these services, will take between three and five years. This is a unique opportunity for Tameside and Glossop to be at the forefront of developing more joined-up integrated care; and we are absolutely committed to getting it right. To get it right, we need the right, highly skilled patient focused workforce throughout the whole process.

Our values and behaviours are at the heart of everything we do, and the Trust’s values and behaviours drive a culture of openness and candour, where staff are listened to and where patients come first.

PLEASE NOTE: IF YOU HAVE NOT HEARD FROM US WITHIN 2 WEEKS OF THE VACANCY CLOSING DATE, THEN YOU SHOULD ASSUME THAT UNFORTUNATELY ON THIS OCCASION, YOU HAVE BEEN UNSUCCESSFUL.

We are currently looking for two enthusiastic individuals to join our Bank clerical support team throughout Tameside and Glossop. Applicants should be excellent communicators with good telephone skills, have the ability to deal with the general public on a daily basis and have a positive approach to customer care.  The role will involve providing clerical support to a wide range of Health Professionals, therefore previous administration experience is essential. In addition it is a necessity that applicants have a good standard of typing and IT skills and be able to work on own initiative and as part of a team. A degree of flexibility and car owner/driver is desirable.

Working as a bank staff member for Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust offers a flexible way of working. You could work for a day here and there, for a week or for a number of months. Many of our Bank workers find temporary working to be more suitable to their lifestyle and needs. Bank working could be your main method of working or a secondary role.

There are many varied reasons for becoming a Bank worker. These include:

  • the need for flexible working arrangements to achieve a better work-life balance;
  • the desire to gradually return to work after a break;
  • the wish to work in an area where currently there are no permanent vacancies;
  • wanting to earn some extra money;
  • the aspiration to gain more skills and experience;
  • the wish to experience working for Tameside & Glossop Community Healthcare without committing to a permanent post;

Due to the high response this post might attract, candidates are advised to submit applications early to avoid disappointment as we reserve the right to close the vacancy to limit it to the first 50 application forms received.

 Please note the bank position is a zero hour contract and hours will be available from 8.00 am to 8.00 pm, Monday to Saturday.
