There has never been a more exciting time to join us. Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust (T&G IC) will provide the foundation for one of the first ICOs in England, bringing together a wide range of health and social care services for the benefit of local people. The ICO will manage a person’s entire care in the future, by linking up hospital services with community care and mental health services as well as working closely with GPs.
We expect that, to fully transform these services, will take between three and five years. This is a unique opportunity for Tameside and Glossop to be at the forefront of developing more joined-up integrated care; and we are absolutely committed to getting it right. To get it right, we need the right, highly skilled patient focused workforce throughout the whole process.
Our values and behaviours are at the heart of everything we do, and the Trust’s values and behaviours drive a culture of openness and candour, where staff are listened to and where patients come first.
PLEASE NOTE: IF YOU HAVE NOT HEARD FROM US WITHIN 2 WEEKS OF THE VACANCY CLOSING DATE, THEN YOU SHOULD ASSUME THAT UNFORTUNATELY ON THIS OCCASION, YOU HAVE BEEN UNSUCCESSFUL.
Divisional Nursing Director - Medicine & Clinical Support
As a Trust we recognise that we need the very best calibre of nurse leader that the NHS has to offer in order to support and sustain our improvement journey and deliver our strategy to develop an Integrated Care System.
Our vision is: to improve health outcomes for our population and influence wider determinants of health through collaboration with our health and care partners.
Can you help us to deliver on our Strategic Plan: Beyond Patient Care to Population Health ?
We are looking to recruit an exceptional nurse with demonstrable senior management skills, to the post of Divisional Nursing Director for the Medicine & Clinical Support Division, to lead our nursing teams in a number of medical wards, urgent care, specialist nurse and support teams.
You will be an experienced nurse with proven ability to engage clinical and managerial teams in developing a high performance culture and who will lead your team to continually improve patient care and operational performance.
You will provide strong visible senior leadership for nurses across the Division and the organisation, by engaging and supporting staff. Being responsible for setting the strategic direction and overall provision of nursing services within the Division, you will ensure alignment with overall nursing and corporate strategies, to ensure high standards of care for all service users.
As a key member of the Divisional Management Team as well as ensuring that the National Nursing agenda is reflected within the Division and that all staff work within the professional boundaries set by the NMC, you will work closely with the Divisional Director to ensure that all key objectives are delivered.
This is an excellent opportunity for you to join a forward thinking organisation and shape the future of health and social care provision for the residents of Tameside & Glossop. You must have prior experience of leading change and working effectively with multi-disciplinary teams to develop improvements in quality and efficiency. You must be able to establish credibility with a wide range of individuals and relate well to the teams you lead. You must possess leadership, empowerment and negotiation skills together with the vision and drive to ensure success. You must be able to demonstrate that your leadership style reflects our values and behaviours and supports the organisational culture we have created.
In return the Trust will offer supported development and exposure to an exciting improvement journey, making a real difference to the quality of patient care to the population of Tameside and Glossop.
