There has never been a more exciting time to join us. Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust (T&G IC) will provide the foundation for one of the first ICOs in England, bringing together a wide range of health and social care services for the benefit of local people. The ICO will manage a person’s entire care in the future, by linking up hospital services with community care and mental health services as well as working closely with GPs.

We expect that, to fully transform these services, will take between three and five years. This is a unique opportunity for Tameside and Glossop to be at the forefront of developing more joined-up integrated care; and we are absolutely committed to getting it right. To get it right, we need the right, highly skilled patient focused workforce throughout the whole process.

Our values and behaviours are at the heart of everything we do, and the Trust’s values and behaviours drive a culture of openness and candour, where staff are listened to and where patients come first.

PLEASE NOTE: IF YOU HAVE NOT HEARD FROM US WITHIN 2 WEEKS OF THE VACANCY CLOSING DATE, THEN YOU SHOULD ASSUME THAT UNFORTUNATELY ON THIS OCCASION, YOU HAVE BEEN UNSUCCESSFUL.

Consultant Anaesthetist with an interest in Intensive Care Medicine (ICM).

An excellent opportunity has arisen to join the Critical care Team at Tameside Hospital NHS Foundation Trust as a consultant in Intensive care. It is a Full time Job with opportunity to do extra sessions as mutually agreed with Clinical lead.

The successful applicants should have the ability and commitment to promote best practice in patient management in conjunction with delivering local and national targets. Your experience and enthusiasm will be supported by a skilled team of clinical staff along with a full complement of dedicated and trained nurses.

This is an exciting time to join Tameside Hospital following our latest CQC inspection. The report from the CQC rated the trust as ‘Good’ for the quality of care being provided. We recognise that our staff were key to helping us achieve these changes. Have you got what it takes to further help us on our journey?

Tameside Hospital NHS Foundation provides hospital services for children and adults across Tameside and Glossop. The Trust is situated at the foot of the Pennines, eight miles to the east of Manchester and serves a population of approximately 250,000. The population is concentrated in the largely industrialised areas of the eight townships of Tameside, which comprise Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council. However, Glossop with its population of approximately 28,000 is part of Derbyshire High Peak District Council, which provides the challenges of a more rural community.

Employing approximately 2,500 staff, the hospital provides the wide array of services one would associate with a general hospital. These services include general and specialist medicine, general surgery and full Consultant led obstetric and paediatric hospital services for women, children and babies.

Our values are at the heart of everything we do and come from our ‘Everyone Matters’ promise. Every day they drive the behaviour and actions for every person in our organisation.
